From Friday, 20 to Sunday, 22 January, FITUR Cruises will expand its field of action to include B2B and B2C areas with exhibition spaces, networking areas and an ambitious programme of activities that will allow both travel agents and passengers to get to know these holiday offers better.

MADRID - As part of its mission to help boost the tourism business, and with a focus on the areas of specialisation that bring innovation and cutting-edge developments to the industry, FITUR 2023 - in collaboration with CRUCEROADICTO.COM, the online magazine specialising in cruises — will reinforce the contents and activities of its new FITUR Cruises space. Here, it will present a wide range of proposals to both professionals and the public that will show the potential of this type of “blue tourism”, which is strongly committed to environmental sustainability, protecting destinations and making a positive impact on their communities.

Over the course of three days, from Friday, 20 to Sunday, 22 January, FITUR Cruises will expand its field of action to include the B2B and B2C areas, placing an exhibition area and auditorium in Hall 10 of FITUR to hold the different activities, aimed at promoting commercial action, reinforcing the image of sustainability, offering a meeting point for the cruise industry and ports and tourist destinations and, especially, helping both travel agents and passengers get to know these tourism offers better, as well as reinforcing the loyalty of cruise passengers.

B2B activities
B2B activities will focus on providing travel agents with the information and tools to improve their knowledge of the cruise industry value proposition, and they will also focus on introducing passengers to the type of tourism to make it more desirable.

Throughout an entire day dedicated to professionals, and as part of the new Cruise Campus, FITUR Cruises will host a training programme for travel agents, in tandem with shipping companies, designed to strengthen the involvement of such an important intermediary by showing a future passenger’s cruise experience.

Cruise Campus is an innovative system of mini courses that, using a practical approach, and with the help of experts in different areas of the world of marketing, communication and even professional travel, will address all angles of a single aspect of the cruise experience.

This will allow agents to become familiar with the wide variety of cruises available and how to choose the right one for each client's travel style.

This learning space will be complemented by the Cruise Market, which will fill FITUR with a seafaring atmosphere, designed to develop professional networking events and meetings with cruise passengers in the centre of Fitur Cruises. At Cruise Market, shipping companies, institutions, ports and agencies will be represented at different booths, interacting with visitors and providing information to passengers and agents.

B2C activities
During the weekend, FITUR Cruises will captivate the visiting public with all the attractions and peculiarities this type of travel has to offer with the activity "Discover cruises, you'll be hooked", a cruise experience on land that will reveal all the adventures that await you on board. The programme “Cruise passengers, here’s what's new” has also been designed for the dedicated cruiser. During the weekend, the programme will fan the flame of their passion for cruises and bring them proposals and new developments that will reinforce their loyalty to this type of tourism.

During the two days open to visitors, Cruise Campus will continue with its mini-courses focusing on all aspects of cruise travel, but this time from the cruise passenger’s perspective: How to pack your suitcase to explore the Mediterranean, what an expedition cruise consists of and tips for booking your next cruise, will be some of the interesting topics open to all.

The offer for cruise lovers also includes fun activities, such as the CRUISE SCAVENGER HUNT in the FITUR halls with very special raffles for the winning teams; a WHITE PARTY featuring an exclusive typical cruise ship show; and an informal gathering of members of the Cruise Passenger Club to chat about cruises and travel experiences and share tips in the CAFÉ & CRUCEROS space.

Cruceroadicto.com will also talk about "Cruise News" during a live broadcast on the FITUR Cruises LIVE programme, the weekly show with all the latest developments in the industry. They will also present the first ANCHOR AWARDS, which will highlight the best ship, shipping company and port, as well as the cruise passenger of the year, among other awards voted on by the passengers themselves.
