Located in southern Australia, Tasmania is known for its amazing flora and fauna that thrive in the ecosystem the region has been able to maintain. Besides that, there are several other things that impress everyone who visits this place. Here are some of the main reasons why your next trip should be to Tasmania:

1. Amazing hikes
For anyone who loves to go on hikes, Tasmania is the place to be. There are numerous hike routes in the region, all with their own unique attractions. All the national parks allow you to go for hikes. 2. It has the purest air in the world
Most of us live in places where the air is very polluted. Escaping from this poisonous air, even for a few days, will help your mind and body relax and heal. If it is pure air that you seek, Tasmania is the place to be. The northwestern tip of Tasmania has the cleanest air in the world as recorded by the air pollution station.

A major reason for this pure air is the fresh winds that come from Antarctica. Also, the region is protected from the ill effects of urbanization. And it's not just the air though, Tasmania has extremely pure water as well!

3. Fantastic wineries and local cuisine
Tasmania is pretty famous for its wineries that produce premium wines. Not just that, these wineries are quite old and are located in picturesque locations. The Salamanca market is widely visited by both locals and tourists alike. You can spend an entire day going through the 300+ stalls that make up the market.

However, it is open only from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is always buzzing with people and there are a number of buskers who will keep you entertained by playing all kinds of music while you go through the stalls.

5. Look at the unique wildlife of the region
Tasmania is home to a vast number of plants and animals that are unique to the region. Several of these are extinct in many parts of the world but due to the region’s strict environmental policies and the fact that it is away from mainland Australia, the flora and fauna of the place is intact.

One of the most popular creatures in the famous Tasmanian Devil – a marsupial that is very small, almost the size of a small dog. There are several others like the Tasmanian Tiger, Tasmanian Pademelon and the Thylacine that make up the wildlife of the region.

Over to you…
Tasmania is well-connected to mainland Australia with several airports and two daily ferries. To prevent the natural wildlife of the region from being altered, there are a number of restrictions on the food that you can bring into Tasmania. So, be aware of those before you head out.

You should definitely plan your next trip to Tasmania at the earliest because there are hardly any other locations in the world where you can enjoy so many unique experiences.
