Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has expanded its global leadership team to increase its focus on corporate and leisure travel growth.

Chris Galanty has been promoted to the newly created role of Global CEO responsible for Flight Centre’s corporate divisions. Norris will be supported by Managing Director Europe, Andrew Boxall, and Managing Director of Middle East and Africa, Andrew Stark, who continue in their current roles.

Flight Centre’s UK Retail Managing Director Alison Zacher has been appointed Corporate UK Managing Director. The new appointments are effective 1st January 2020.

Chris Galanty will continue to be based in London and will be responsible for Flight Centre’s rapidly growing corporate travel businesses globally, including FCM Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, cievents and Flight Centre Business Travel. Together these businesses are on track to deliver more than AUS$10billion in total transaction value (TTV) during the 2020 fiscal year (FY20). He will also oversee corporate-related transformation initiatives and strategies.

Chris Galanty commented: “I am excited to take on this new role of Global Corporate CEO. Flight Centre’s corporate businesses are growing rapidly and we are gaining significant market share. I am looking forward to working closely with our corporate leaders globally to drive further growth and ensure we continue to develop our core FCM and Corporate Traveller brands and their compelling customer offerings, along with our specialist brands."

I have been privileged to lead Flight Centre’s EMEA region for the last 15 years and am delighted that Steve Norris will be taking over this role. He has unrivalled corporate and leisure travel experience gained during his 17 years with Flight Centre and has personally built our EMEA corporate business over the last decade through organic growth and a series of acquisitions. He is ideally placed to head up the FC leadership team in this region."

Ali Zacher will be a key member of Steve’s team in her new role and play an integral part in my global corporate leadership team. She has grown our UK leisure business to become one of the most successful in the Flight Centre Travel Group. Plus she has considerable experience in business travel having held area leader positions with Corporate Traveller and Flight Centre Business Travel,” Galanty said.
