ALEXANDROUPOLIS, GREECE – Thraki Palace S.A., owned by the Palakidis family, announced that the former Thraki Palace Thalasso Spa Hotel & Conference Center, located in Alexandroupolis, will undergo an extended renovation to become the newest Ramada hotel in Greece. Ramada is one of the most recognised hotel brands in the world, with 850 hotels spanning more than 60 countries.

Scheduled to open on 30 June 2017, the 149-room hotel is located on a beautiful private beach, just 4 kilometres east from Alexandroupolis’s city centre, and features a large convention facility which can accommodate up to 2,300 delegates. Following an extensive renovation, the hotel will feature a number of upgrades, including guest rooms and suites with flat-screen TVs, upgraded bedding, modern furniture and stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Other features will also include the new Thalasso & Spa Center, a 2,400 square metre space providing guests with a wide selection of beauty and wellness treatments, along with a state-of-the-art fitness club.

“We’re excited to be joining the Ramada family and are looking forward to providing visitors to Alexandroupolis with the high-quality accommodation and services that the brand is known for,” said Apostolos Palakidis, Vice President Thraki Palace S.A.

“At Wyndham Hotel Group, we are focused on offering travellers the right place to stay, however they choose to travel and wherever their journey takes them,” said Edwin Broers, Regional Vice President Central and Eastern Europe, Wyndham Hotel Group. “We have ambitious growth plans for Greece, and we are delighted to add the new Ramada Plaza Thraki to our growing family of hotels in the country.”

Ramada Plaza Thraki will participate in Wyndham Rewards, the simple-to-use, revolutionary loyalty programme from Wyndham Hotel Group that offers members a generous points earning structure along with a flat, free-night redemption rate – the first of its kind for a major hotel rewards programme.
