Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, announced Wendle Lesher as Hotel Manager

Wendle Lesher brings over 19 years of experience within the Hawaiian luxury-hospitality sphere.

WAILEA, MAUI, HI – Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort – an iconic resort nestled on 40 acres of lush, tropical gardens fronting Maui’s Wailea Beach – announced the appointment of seasoned hospitality leader, Wendle Lesher to the role of Hotel Manager. Lesher will lead the team overseeing all hotel operations at the resort.

Lesher brings over 19 years of experience within the Hawaiian luxury-hospitality sphere.  Most recently, he held the title of Director of Food and Beverage at Hilton Waikoloa Village, where he oversaw $50 million in revenue over 14 separate restaurants, bars and banquet operations.  Prior to that, Lesher held position of Director of Food and Beverage and Operations at both the Mauna Kea Resort and Fairmont Orchid properties. Lesher also spent 10 years as Restaurant General Manager at the Four Seasons Hualalai.

In his new position as Hotel Manager, Lesher will leverage his combined hospitality and customer service experience to lead Grand Wailea’s hotel operations. As a key member of the resort leadership team, Lesher will work in tandem with Grand Wailea’s resort managers to create a seamless hospitality experience for guests and create hotel initiatives to optimize revenue and growth for the iconic Maui resort.

On his appointment, Lesher commented, “I am thrilled to join the team here at Grand Wailea, and I’m eager to contribute my knowledge and industry expertise to the resort’s ongoing legacy as a leader in top-of-the-line luxury hospitality in Maui.”
