HGU New York Hotel is a 90-room wellness-focused boutique hotel combining the history and heritage of its original 1905 Beaux-Arts building with the contemporary finishes and sophistication of a New York City design hotel.

NEW YORK – HGU New York Hotel has officially been named a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) collection. Selected for its sophisticated accommodations, top-notch service, wellness-focused amenities, culinary offerings, and its desirable location in Manhattan's NoMad neighborhood, HGU New York is one of only five hotels in New York City selected for the coveted SLH collection.

Known throughout the world as champions of small independent luxury hotels that leave a lasting impression, Small Luxury Hotels of the World seeks exceptional properties in the most desirable destinations that offer genuine, one-of-a-kind experiences and outstanding accommodations. From an undiscovered gem in a cultured metropolis to barefoot bliss on a deserted island, each member is carefully evaluated and vetted to ensure the quality of the product and experience. The members of this elite group of properties are recognized not-only by the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection; they are also ever-present in the various travel industry awards and top hotel lists globally.

"We are proud to have earned the invitation to join the Small Luxury Hotels of the World family," said Michael Namer, CEO & Founder of Alfa Development. "As one of only five hotels with the SLH designation in New York City, we look forward to being the standard bearers of exceptional guest experience in the NoMad neighborhood."

Kenan Simmons, Vice President of Business Development and the Americas Region at Small Luxury Hotels of the World, says: "We are very proud to welcome HGU New York to our portfolio of independent hotels. Located in the burgeoning NoMad district, the property joins an impeccable roster of four other SLH hotels within New York City. HGU New York is one of a kind and encapsulates the SLH philosophy, offering discerning travelers a space which bridges contemporary art and luxury service with historic New York architecture."

HGU New York Hotel is a 90-room wellness-focused boutique hotel combining the history and heritage of its original 1905 Beaux-Arts building with the contemporary finishes and sophistication of a New York City design hotel. Opened in 2016, HGU New York Hotel is a destination for top culinary and socializing experiences including the Rose Hill restaurant, bar, lounge, and seasonal rooftop named after the neighborhood's original moniker and designed by renowned hospitality architect and designer Peter Guzy principal of Asfour Guzy.
