Hilton Miami Downtown completes $35m. renovations propertywide

HBA Atlanta (Hirsch Bedner Associates), a leader in sophisticated hospitality interior design, led the property’s design renovation which blends an urban sleek aesthetic with an emphasis on technology, and contemporary fashion and art influences.

MIAMI – Following the completion of a property wide $35 million renovation, Hilton Miami Downtown by Resort World Miami invites groups and leisure guests to enjoy a Downtown Miami escape just steps from the city's best cultural, shopping, dining and entertainment experiences.

Located on the site of the former Omni International Mall, which included the mammoth shopping complex, movie theater and hotel, Hilton Miami Downtown brings high-style, service, and value to Miami's Performing Arts District with its re-imagined guest rooms, meeting space, restaurant, and lobby. Meanwhile, elements from the original development such as its expansive loading dock and parking facilities, provide guests, conference organizers and event planners with features no other property in Miami can offer. Now revamped for a new, discerning guest with all the hallmarks of the Hilton brand, Hilton Miami Downtown is a desirable option for visitors and a focal point as downtown's re-vitalization continues.

"The newly renovated Hilton Miami Downtown represents the area's best – style, culture, convenience, and value – in one superior hotel offering," said Alex Batista, Director of Sales and Marketing, Hilton Miami Downtown. "From corporate groups, to social events, to leisure weekenders and pre- and post-cruisers – this property has it all!"

What's New for Groups and Leisure Guests?
Hilton Miami Downtown's updated guest rooms are stylishly designed with warm colors, contemporary lines, and exceptional details including the signature Hilton Serenity Bed™ with down duvet and rich linens, 48" flat screen television, and Peter Thomas Roth bathroom amenities. With 527 spacious rooms, including 37 suites and four Presidential Suites, guests are treated to floor-to-ceiling windows revealing stunning views of the Miami skyline.

For business and social groups, Hilton Miami Downtown's tastefully re-designed meeting facilities offer all the services and ambiance to create a memorable and flawless event. The hotel's 45,000+ square feet of flexible meeting space can host meetings and events for up to 2,000 guests, while their 19 spacious meeting rooms include one of Downtown Miami's largest ballrooms at nearly 17,000 square feet with 18' ceilings and unobstructed space throughout. Five board rooms are also available for executive meetings and more intimate gatherings. Providing added convenience are the property's 2,500-space, indoor parking lot, and its football-field size loading dock, able to load automobiles, staging and other extra-large equipment directly into the ballroom with ease.

Also renovated and re-designed was the hotel's breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant, Brisa Bistro, a fusion experience led by Executive Chef Didier Pouzier that combines Caribbean, South American and European cuisine representing Miami's rich cross-section of cultures.

Rounding out the offerings are Starbucks open daily between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.; in-room dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and breakfast bites and afternoon appetizer bites served to Club Level guests in a relaxed atmosphere atop the 16th floor lounge space.

Receiving a multi-million-dollar upgrade later this year are the property's chill-out rooftop pool deck and outdoor bar and grill, CityVu; along with the hotel's hip 1601 Lounge.
