Holiday Inn and Suites Αcross From Universal Orlando welcome new General Manager

In his new role, Zury Cohen is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of hotel operations work together to maximize market share, sales, guest satisfaction and profit.

ORLANDO, FLA. – Holiday Inn & Suites Across From Universal Orlando, an official Universal Partner Hotel, announced the appointment of a new general manager, Zury Cohen. In his new role, Cohen is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of hotel operations work together to maximize market share, sales, guest satisfaction and profit.

Cohen realized his passion for the hotel industry early – he began his career as a front desk manager at AmeriSuites, and worked his way up to become a regional manager for a mix of limited and full-service properties including brands like La Quinta by Wyndham and Hampton Inn. Most recently, Cohen served as the general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in Lakeland, FL. before coming to Holiday Inn & Suites Across From Universal Orlando. Cohen brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his position, along with a strong reputation of improving customer satisfaction, driving overall operational improvements and serving as an effective leader.

In his free time, Cohen enjoys volunteering, whether it’s sponsoring charity golf outings for his local chapter of the Boys & Girls Club, helping at food banks over the holidays or facilitating Toys for Tots donations. In this new role, Cohen aims to strengthen the hotel’s community involvement and identify volunteer opportunities for staff.

“We are thrilled to welcome Zury to the Performance Hospitality Management family. With his dynamic leadership experience, as well as his passion for providing unparalleled guest experiences, we know Holiday Inn & Suites Across From Universal Orlando™ is perfectly positioned for the bright new future that exists ahead, with tourism on the rebound across the state of Florida,” said Ayelet Weinstein, president and CEO of Performance Hospitality Management.
