HomeToGo and Allianz Global Assistance announce partnership to offer users travel security with a Money Back Guarantee

The world’s largest holiday rental search engine  to insure all future bookings for travellers.

BERLIN – Holiday makers are increasingly opting for rental apartments and houses when planning holidays. Especially popular among families, the comfort and privacy that holiday rentals offer make them a great place to spend  quality time together. Even with the increasing popularity of holiday rentals, there are those who are anxious about the check-in process and  worst case scenarios: Being denied access, the property being occupied, or the rental not matching up to its description. To put travellers at ease, HomeToGo is teaming up with Allianz Global Assistance to provide a solution for these extreme cases – making booking a holiday rental even safer for its users.

Picture perfect views, a private infinity pool, individual bedrooms for each family member, and the best possible price: If you book a holiday, you want to enjoy all of the above, and be able to look forward to it for months in advance.

HomeToGo aims to give its users maximum confidence from the very first stage of their holiday planning. To achieve this, the search engine works with over 250 certified and trusted holiday rental providers and offers free customer service via phone and email to users who may have doubts or worries about their booking.

“We support more than 20 million users per month in their search for the right holiday accommodation,” said Dr. Patrick Andrae, CEO of HomeToGo. “For  those who want even more security when booking with one of our providers, we now offer the ‘HomeToGo Money Back Guarantee’ together with Allianz Global Assistance. We cover the costs of the insurance ourselves, with the aim of delivering maximum confidence to our users when they are booking one of the most important travel experiences of their year.”

How does the travel protection work?
HomeToGo and Allianz Global Assistance are now offering a special service in cooperation with the Insurtech firm KASKO: HomeToGo Reservation Protection. With this free ‘Money Back Guarantee,’ all bookings of registered users are automatically insured.

At HomeToGo, more than 11 million offers are indexed from more than 250 verified and trusted providers. By comparing prices, users can quickly identify the provider with the best offer and  find the most suitable accommodation for them. In the worst case scenario, like a landlord not entitled to offer the apartment, or the property being permanently unavailable, where the booking can not materialise, the ’Money Back Guarantee’ applies. This also applies if access to the property is denied. Additionally, the protection exists if the description of the accommodation on the HomeToGo website, or its partner pages, deviates strongly from the reality. For example, if the property’s description has a significantly different number of rooms, beds, or a living space that does not match the online specifications, the customer is eligible for a full refund of up to £1,750*.

Enjoy carefree travel with HomeToGo’s "Money Back Guarantee"
“We are thrilled to offer our new insurance policy, which is free of charge for holiday makers. With it, they can enjoy a truly carefree holiday, receive additional added value, and most importantly, experience peace of mind," says Dr. Patrick Andrae, CEO of HomeToGo.
