TORONTO – Hostaway, leading all-in-one vacation rental management platform, announce two new hires to the business – Travis Wheeler as VP of Sales and Sukh Basra as Director of Marketing – plus the promotions of Maria Lopez Duran to Vice President of Product and Josh Loe to Chief Customer Officer. The company, which launched in 2015, is also celebrating another milestone after employing its 100th team member. It now aims to grow to 200 people by the end of 2023.

Hostaway is fully-remote and headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Its employees are located worldwide across the U.S., Australia, Finland, Spain, Sri Lanka, and Mexico. Together, they have helped thousands of property managers worldwide scale up their businesses by equipping them with the tools to automate operations, drive bookings and connect to all major global booking channels. Hostaway is the most highly rated inventory supply provider to OTAs, as the only combined Property Management Software (PMS) and Channel Manager to be a Preferred Partner of Airbnb, an Elite Partner of Vrbo, a Premier Partner with Booking.com, and directly integrated to Expedia, Hopper, and Homes & Villas by Marriott International.

Maria Lopez Duran joined Hostaway in 2018 as Head of Product, while Josh Loe joined Hostaway in February 2022 as VP of Customer Success. Both earned significant promotions last year, reflecting their experience, skills and achievements as part of the Hostaway team in ensuring the company delivers a world-class product to the vacation rental industry.

Upon joining CEO Marcus Räder and COO Saber Kordestanchi at the C-level, Josh Loe said: “Over the past year, I’ve seen firsthand how Hostaway makes a noticeable difference to our customer’s businesses. We feed off that success in our team and strive to continue improving what we can do for our customers. As a business, we made significant investments in 2022 to build strong foundations for the future and help us grow sustainability – including new hires.”

Travis Wheeler joined Hostaway as VP of Sales in January 2023 and has already introduced his hands-on, results-driven leadership style to the Sales team. Based in tech hub Austin, Texas, he has held VP roles in eCommerce marketing, including at Springbot, Yaguara, and Searchspring.

Travis Wheeler said: “I’m excited to join Hostaway and bring some new insight to this innovative and growing sector. Hostaway is already the market leader in this space, but there are still so many more property managers there who have yet to try our solution in our core market – the US – and in emerging markets like Latin America and the Middle East. We have ambitious sales targets for 2023 and are already on the way to realizing them.”

Stepping into the role of Director of Marketing is Sukh Basra, Sukh has over ten years of experience scaling early-stage and mature software businesses. Through a comprehensive growth plan, he aims to turbo-charge Hostaway’s visibility and reputation amongst global stakeholders and potential customers.
