BURLINGTON, VT –  Hotel Vermont is pleased to announce several updates to its executive leadership team, further enhancing the organization's commitment to growth and resilience. The appointments come at a time when Hotel Vermont continues to hold its position as a leader in the local and regional travel industry.

We are thrilled to welcome new team members now that the travel industry has seen growth over the last few months,” says Hans Vans Wees, General Manager for Hotel Vermont. “The caliber of our talented team is a reflection of our continued success and their dedication to further tell our story through tailored customer journeys, partnerships that enhance guest experiences and a deepened brand loyalty.”

Recent appointments are as follows:
Matt Canning, Assistant General Manager — Prior to his role at Hotel Vermont, Matt gained a wealth of experience out west and brought his expertise back home to Vermont to help launch the hotel in 2013. Starting as Front Office Manager, Matt saw the impact of the state's blossoming craft beer scene on tourism. His passion for the industry led him through the natural progression to become Food & Beverage Manager and launching Hotel Vermont’s Beer Concierge Program. With his new role as Assistant General manager, Matt looks forward to continuing the work of providing a safe and fulfilling work environment to all team members and a safe and inclusive experience for guests.
Maddison Moore, Marketing Manager — Maddison is responsible for implementing and executing the marketing plans for both Hotel Vermont and the restaurants Juniper and Brick, including brand marketing and managing social media channels. Maddison has been a longtime supporter of Hotel Vermont and was thrilled to land a role that engages her interests and aligns with her prior experience working for her family’s small business. Her prior experience allows her to deeply understand the impact local partnerships can have on an independently owned hotel as well as the best practices for highlighting them across channels for maximized optimization.
Rachel Kucharski, Digital Marketing Specialist — In this new role, Rachel will support and develop the sales team for Westport Hospitality, the management company that operates Hotel Vermont and several other Burlington-area hotels and restaurants. Rachel is dedicated to growing the sales department to benefit the local hospitality industry and its employees. Rachel’s passion for Vermont and all things Burlington illustrate her ability to own this position. Her enthusiasm for storytelling and promotion of tourism to the area allows her to inspire those around her.
Lal Pardhan, Housekeeping Manager — Lal was one of the first team members of the housekeeping department when the property opened in 2013. Through experience, talents, dedication and teamwork, Lal was proud to lead the team as the new Housekeeping Manager. Hotel Vermont is beyond thrilled to welcome him back to the family. His positive attitude and impeccable work ethic were sorely missed and his dedication to his work at the property did not go unnoticed.
