HotelHub delivers smart hotel booking solution for Corporate Traveller’s Melon technology platform

US and Canada first markets to go live.

Corporate Traveller, the specialist global travel management company (TMC) for start-ups and mid-market businesses has partnered with HotelHub to deliver a next generation hotel booking solution within Melon, the TMC’s innovative new digital platform. The solution has already been implemented for Corporate Traveller’s consultants and clients using Melon in the US and Canada.

HotelHub’s smart booking technology not only aggregates hotel content seamlessly from multiple GDS and non-GDS channels in a single intuitive interface in the agent desktop, it standardises rates and room types across these channels and ensures no hotel property is duplicated. All sources of Corporate Traveller’s hotel content in the US and Canada have already been integrated via HotelHub within Melon, as well as clients’ preferred hotel programmes and any rates negotiated by the TMC, or by individual clients. This means that Corporate Traveller consultants making bookings within Melon can accurately compare property types and room rates and give unparalleled choice of customised hotel content to their clients.

Melon has also implemented HotelHub’s API which connects with the corporate client’s preferred online booking tool, giving bookers and travellers access to the same rich hotel content and digitalised booking experience.

The technology solution also fully automates and streamlines the entire hotel booking workflow for Corporate Traveller’s consultants, greatly improving operational efficiencies.  Billback payment modes have been enabled within the platform, including virtual cards, to streamline payment processes.

Following successful implementation in Canada and the US, HotelHub is now on track to integrate its agent booking solution and API online booking tool connection to Corporate Traveller in the UK by the end of the current quarter and in South Africa during Q4 2022.

The partnership with Corporate Traveller follows parent company Flight Centre Travel Group’s decision to select HotelHub to provide a global hotel booking and distribution solution for its global corporate travel brands, which was announced in June 2021.

“We are delighted to report that integration of our next generation hotel booking solution for Corporate Traveller in the USA and Canada has been completed giving consultants, bookers and travellers an exceptional, fully automated user experience and seamless access to Corporate Traveller’s customised hotel content from multiple sources, all within a single interface,” said Eric Meierhans, Chief Commercial Officer, HotelHub.

“Feedback from Corporate Traveller consultants using the tech has been extremely positive and they have been impressed with the ease of navigation, speed in making bookings, and integration of virtual payments within the solution. They are also enthusiastic about functionality such as the ‘book again’ feature, maps showing hotels and rates, choice of search criteria, and booking record standardisation,” explained Meierhans.

Chris Lynes, SVP Corporate Traveller Americas commented: “Investing in technology has been a priority for Corporate Traveller to ensure we are providing the best support for our clients’ travel programmes. We’re excited to partner with HotelHub whose ability to integrate seamlessly into Melon enables us to expand our content in a truly efficient manner that benefits not only customers but also our people supporting our customers.”
