HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts (HotelREZ) has recently completed a full XML certified connection with Mews, a well known PMS and booking engine provider to the hospitality industry.
The development of a secure 2-way interface between the two companies is yet another indication of HotelREZ's continued focus on providing flexible and innovative hospitality solutions at a competitive price-point.
With the help of its own custom-built PMS interface, REZSwitch, HotelREZ is capable of supporting virtually any PMS provider, with seamless 2-way connectivity to its CRS. The first properties certified with the new connection, include the Dutch hotel The Hague Teleport, a modern apartment style hotel with 55 studios and 3 spacious penthouses offering great views of the city; and Mosaic House, a trendy eco-conscious hotel in Prague. Other properties are already lined up to use the interface.
Having a secure 2-way interface in place essentially means all crucial information such as inventory availability, room rates and guest profile data, are automatically exchanged, in real time, between the two systems; providing greater accuracy of hotel availability and pricing, and more importantly, eliminating the need for the hotel revenue manager to update two different systems separately.
The new connection allows Mews customers to distribute their rates and inventory to over half a million travel agents who use the Global Distribution Systems (GDS), as well as millions more bookers worldwide, whose websites are powered by the GDS. In addition, Mews customers that opt for the GDS channel with HotelREZ, will benefit from a list of other services offered by the representation company, including corporate RFP generation, pay on performance access to consortia, as well as access to hundreds of preferred partnership agreements. Distribution will be conducted via the HotelREZ HO chain code on the GDS.
