How the world reopens after COVID pandemic

Quito, Ecuador

We had to start living again, resuming our work, education, and whatnot. So, the world is opening just a little more day by day, with proper safety measures, of course.

After a long and terrifying battle that the world has been fighting against the Coronavirus, we are finally able to muster up some courage and step out. Mind you; the fight continues as we still haven't got ridden of Covid-19.

We had to start living again, resuming our work, education, and whatnot. So, the world is opening just a little more day by day, with proper safety measures, of course. For example, Ecuador and Galapagos are open to visitors now. They are amongst the first travel destinations that opened after the pandemic. So, let's have a look at Ecuador and Galapagos entry protocols

A negative PCR test
This is the most crucial criterion you will have to pass if you are willing to travel to nearly any foreign country and not just South America. So, make sure that you take a Negative SARS-COV 2/COVID-19 PCR test – real-time: Nasopharyngeal before entering Galapagos.

It should not be a rapid test. You must enter Galapagos before 96 hours after the test has been taken and is negative. For Ecuador, this test needs to be taken within ten days of your arrival. You can get this test done at the entry of Ecuador if it is not available in your country.

Book your packages beforehand
You are allowed to travel in Ecuador and Galapagos, but it's neither convenient nor safe to reach the destination without a proper plan. By plan, we mean your package and your tour.

The protocols suggest you book your hotel before you reach Ecuador and Galapagos, instead of roaming around on the island, hoping to find a place to stay. You will likely be denied everywhere if you failed to pre-book a hotel. So, make sure you go to the website of the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador and Galapagos and help yourself with the booking.

Body temperature less than 37.9C
As you know, one of the most common symptoms of Coronavirus is fever. It's only fair that you do not leave your home if you feel unwell. This is the reason why your body temperature should be less than 37.9 degrees Celsius when you reach Ecuador and Galapagos airports or islands. Do not be panicked. Remain calm and collected.

Your body temperature will be checked multiple times to ensure yours and everyone else's safety and well being.  So, you must cooperate.

Keep yourself protected
It should come off as a surprise that you will be required to wear a face mask in Ecuador and Galapagos at all times. You can get masks from anywhere on the island. There are fines and other consequences if you fail to do so. It is essential for your safety and other people's safety, after all.

Also, you must wash your hands regularly. Sanitizing gels are available everywhere in Ecuador and Galapagos. However, you must carry your own. Also, make sure you keep your safe passage document whenever you go out. You will get it from your pre-booked hotel.
