Services running on Friday 3rd June and Monday 6th June have had capacity increased to the larger 68 seater ATR 72-600 aircraft in both directions between Humberside and Cornwall Airport Newquay.
Eastern Airways, based at Humberside Airport, are increasing capacity on one of their main routes to Cornwall Newquay Airport over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
The service, which commenced on April 1st, has seen an upsurge in passengers for the upcoming Jubilee weekend so Eastern Airways have taken the decision to add more seats.
Services running on Friday 3rd June and Monday 6th June have had capacity increased to the larger 68 seater ATR 72-600 aircraft in both directions between Humberside and Cornwall Airport Newquay.
There is also an additional day’s service added on Thursday 2nd June 2022 as the first day of the bank holiday.
“Identifying opportunities to improve or expand our service to customers is at the forefront of what Eastern do” said Eastern Airways General Manager Roger Hage. “The extended bank holiday and additional celebrations that come with the Platinum Jubilee are an excuse for many members of the public to get away and enjoy time with family and friends”
Adding the extra seat capacity and extra days given the high demand for services will allow for far more passengers to make the most of this weekend and compliment our twice daily services to London Gatwick for the capital from Cornwall Airport Newquay”
The Humberside to Cornwall Airport Newquay route has also been extended throughout the summer season on to 19th September to keep up with demand and to let passengers make the most of that September sun or increasingly for business access given the significant time saving offered compared to surface transport options.
Given increasing demand into the summer months, passengers are being encouraged to book as early as possible with fares starting from £74.99 including 10kg cabin baggage and 15kg of hold baggage at no additional cost.
Standard service between Humberside and Cornwall Airport Newquay operate twice weekly on Monday’s and Friday’s with passengers being able to make the most of weekday breaks and long weekends, in addition to our Aberdeen service with flights up to twice daily and the weekly summer Jersey service commencing on Saturday 21st May.
