Hyatt Regency Boston / Cambridge announces appointment of Melissa Green as General Manager

Ms. Melissa Green brings more than 10 years of experience to this new position, having quickly moved through the event and convention services ranks with White Lodging Services and Marriott International

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Hyatt Regency Boston / Cambridge announce the appointment of Melissa Green as the hotel’s new General Manager. Melissa will oversee all operations within the hotel, including its 479 guest rooms and suites and 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and most notably, the massive property-wide renovation that is currently underway and scheduled to be unveiled this fall.

Ms. Green brings more than 10 years of experience to this new position, having quickly moved through the event and convention services ranks with White Lodging Services and Marriott International. Ms. Green joins Hyatt Regency Boston / Cambridge from her most recently held position as Dual General Manager of Hyatt House/Hyatt Place in Colorado. Prior to that she was the General Manager of Denver Marriott Westminster, and has held the roles of Assistant General Manager, Director of Event Management, Director of Convention Services and Banquets, and Director of Event Operations throughout her career. She is the recipient of multiple Mustang Awards from White Lodging Services and Marriott International, which recognize general managers who have overcome substantial obstacles and/or introduced new innovation to the market. Ms. Green is certified in multiple levels of Breakthrough Leadership.

Her expertise will be especially beneficial in leading the property through the extensive renovation, which will include the introduction of a brand-new entrance, lobby and atrium design, a revamp to the meeting and event spaces, and the overhaul of social spaces including the debut of new dining outlets. In addition to these significant upgrades and enhancements, the hotel will launch new amenities, activities and experiences to elevate the overall guest experience, and the new style and energy will be reflective of the local community, touching upon the nearby iconic universities and life science community by way of design. The hotel will also debut advanced technology through the World of Hyatt Mobile App, which will offer the opportunity for a Personalized Check-In experience, a Mobile Key feature for contactless and convenient check-in, a Digital Concierge to easily explore the surrounding area and Real-Time Engagement with hotel staff through chat capabilities.

An East Coast native, Ms. Green holds a Bachelor of Science in Food & Beverage Management and Associate of Science in Culinary/Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales University.
