Infare appoints new CFO to support growth ambitions

Mikkel Bonnelycke brings expertise in high-growth technology businesses.

COPENHAGEN – Infare, a global market leader in airfare pricing intelligence, is appointing Mikkel Bonnelycke as Chief Finance Officer to help guide the company’s continued expansion.

Mikkel brings great experience of helping private-equity-backed technology businesses to scale rapidly and achieve sustainable growth. Previously, he was CFO at the IT infrastructure provider GlobalConnect A/S and HR and payroll software developer Lessor A/S. He also served as CFO and COO at mobile payments provider Swipp. Mikkel began his career in management consultancy with Deloitte Business Consulting, Telenor and TDC.

As a member of Infare’s senior leadership, Mikkel will develop the finance function to best support the company’s growth strategy and to create value for customers and shareholders.

Nils Gelbjerg-Hansen, CEO of Infare, says: “Mikkel brings a valuable strategic perspective to the CFO role and will help Infare capitalise on the significant opportunities before us. He has an excellent track record in helping businesses achieve their potential, by implementing automated and digital processes focusing on business intelligence and helping boards to take the right decisions. As Infare responds to the rapidly growing pricing intelligence needs of our customers, we are delighted to welcome Mikkel to our senior team.”

Mikkel says: “Infare is in a very exciting position, with a strong product offering and excellent reputation in a niche that is experiencing fast growth. High-quality airfare data and analytical tools are becoming increasingly mission-critical to the aviation and travel industries. I look forward to helping Infare chart a profitable course through this fast-changing environment.”

Mikkel succeeds Peter Freiesleben, who is leaving Infare to become an active investor in young growth companies.

Nils comments: “I would like to thank Peter Freiesleben for his important contribution to our development. He made a significant impact to the company’s growth and profitability, which was recognised for three consecutive years by Danish business newspaper Borsen with its Gazelle Company Award. I am sad to see Peter leave, who I today call my personal friend, but understand his motivations and wish him great success in the next chapter of his career.”
