Informa selects TripActions as Worldwide Travel Management Solution

Group prioritises colleague experience, advanced analytics, and duty of care.

LONDON — TripActions, the only all-in-one travel, expense, and corporate card solution, announced that Informa, the information services, advanced learning, and B2B exhibitions and events group, has chosen TripActions as the company’s new international travel management partner.

The appointment comes in the wake of TripActions’ recent $275M Series F growth funding round, which will be used to further drive investment in product innovation and global expansion.

Informa, a FTSE 100 company headquartered in London, has more than 10,000 colleagues working in 30 countries. The company required a TMC that could deliver a cost-effective travel management solution across all of its locations, while providing employees with an excellent digital user experience, service in multiple languages, advanced reporting and tracking, and help the Informa Travel team deliver superior duty of care.

The pandemic really accelerated the need for digitalisation in business travel as companies look to manage the high levels of duty of care required for modern travel and spend,” says Chris Vik, TripActions SVP of Sales, EMEA. “Our in-house support agents with 24/7/365 service over chat, email, and phone from multiple offices and in local languages, gives travellers the confidence that help is on hand around the clock.”

Following an extensive RFP process, TripActions was unanimously selected by more than 30 stakeholders across HR, Travel, Finance, Procurement, Sustainability, IT, and Business representatives.

Key to the decision was a single unified platform with a global traveller-centric approach, full 360-degree traveller visibility that helps Informa deliver comprehensive support and care, and transparency of global content.

When our colleagues travel for work or to meet customers, we want to make it a smooth experience for them, help them select the most effective travel choices in terms of cost, time and carbon use, and ensure we can support them wherever they are,” says Melissa Willock, Group Travel Director at Informa. “TripActions delivers all of this. The digital and travel experience for our colleagues will be better than ever, and its real time reporting and advanced analytics will help us understand trends and report against travel in a more detailed and insightful way. TripActions will also help colleagues choose the most carbon-effective ways to reach their destination, reducing their carbon use, which we then offset, under Informa’s commitment to be net zero carbon by 2030.”

Since the start of the pandemic, TripActions has released more than 85 product features that have augmented and improved the experience for both business travellers and program managers. Recent innovations include a suite of sustainability features, team travel technology, and a Coronavirus dashboard that actively tracks traveller location and contact information.

The TripActions platform will be implemented simultaneously across Informa’s 30+ countries and will be available in multiple languages. Full deployment is scheduled for early 2022.

We are delighted to be partnering with Informa to manage their global travel program. The program includes the TripActions travel platform as well as Liquid Travel, VIP services through our integration with Reed & Mackay to support Informa’s more complex itineraries, and our partnership with C-Trip to support the Asian market,” says TripActions Chief Revenue Officer, Carlos Delatorre.
