Aeroflot named Best Global Airline in Europe by US passenger association APEX
Aeroflot has been recognized as Best Global Airline in Europe at the 2018 APEX Passenger Choice Awards. The Russian flag carrier has also took the award for Best Seat Comfort in Europe. The awards ceremony to honor top airlines from around the globe was held on 19 June at the APEX TECH conference in Los Angeles.

APEX (the Airline Passenger Experience Association) is a US-based non-profit membership organization comprised of the world's leading airlines, industry suppliers, major media groups and related aviation industry leaders that is dedicated to elevating the passenger experience.

The APEX Passenger Choice Awards are considered one of the highest accolades in the global airline industry. Awards are made based on passenger feedback from verified travel itineraries. The APEX awards recognize the best airlines from key regions around the globe in three categories: Global, Major Regional, and Low Cost Carriers. Airlines are assessed for excellence in seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment and Wi-Fi. Aeroflot was named Best Global Airline in Europe based on its overall score across these categories.

APEX also uses verified passenger feedback to rate airlines as part of APEX’s Official Airline Ratings. Aeroflot holds a top Five Star Global Airline ranking. Earlier this year users of TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, named Aeroflot one of Europe’s leading airlines for a second year. TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards also recognised Aeroflot in the categories Best Business Class in Europe, Travellers’ Choice Award Premium Economy – Europe, Best Airline in Russia. The latest accolades from APEX awarded despite the challenging geopolitical environment, are another confirmation of Aeroflot’s superior service quality and strong positions in the global airline industry.
