Jeppesen to provide Corendon Airlines with iPad EFB services

Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro on iPad to help airline operate more efficiently.

ENGLEWOOD, COLO. - Jeppesen, a part of Boeing Digital Aviation, and Corendon Airlines recently agreed to a new five-year service contract to integrate Jeppesen's digital navigation and electronic flight bag (EFB) services for the airline. Corendon Airlines, an international charter operator based in Turkey, will increase operational efficiency and eliminate paper-based flight materials with use of Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro on iPad.

A long-term Jeppesen customer for charting and flight planning services, Corendon Airlines will continue the digital transformation of their operations with FliteDeck Pro. The airline will use FliteDeck Pro to access critical EFB and navigation information to increase situational awareness in the air and decrease flight preparation time on the ground.

"This agreement with Jeppesen will allow us to transition from paper to digital flight information, as we proceed with our EFB authorization process," said Erhan Bayram, Flight Operations manager, Corendon Airlines. "Our goal is to eliminate volumes of heavy, paper-based flight information with this shift to EFB services on iPad, which reduces fuel consumption for each flight and increases operational efficiency."

Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro helps airlines and large operators streamline access to essential flight information and Jeppesen's industry-leading navigation data. Increased pilot situational awareness is also achieved, by displaying data that is configured per pilot preference, to ensure the right flight information is available at the right time for each phase of flight.

"Interactive and fully data-driven digital flight information is essential for operating in the competitive global airline business environment," said Tim Huegel, director, Jeppesen Aviation Portfolio Management. "We are pleased to team with Corendon Airlines to establish their EFB platform with Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro on iPad to reduce operating costs, eliminate paper flight materials and reduce pilot workload."

Corendon Airlines flies to 35 countries and 128 airports around the world, serving approximately two million travelers annually with its Boeing 737 aircraft fleet.
