Key Travel boosts risk management offering with ILS

Key Travel partners with International Location Safety on risk management services to support the UK Humanitarian and Academic sectors.

LONDON – Key Travel, the leading International Travel Management Company serving the not-for-profit sector, announced a partnership with International Location Safety (ILS) at Education Without Borders, the higher education sector’s travel risk management event. The news means Key Travel now add ILS’s enhanced risk management services and extensive experience in humanitarian and academic risk management to their travel risk support offering.

Key Travel currently offers an inclusive pre, post and in-trip travel risk support service to its customers including 24/7 emergency support, travel incident management and a range of briefings, tracking, alerts and communications services. ILS provide a range of bespoke risk management support services including duty of care benchmark reviews, destination analysis and risk assessment, training programmes and GPS personal tracking for high risk travel. Like Key Travel, ILS specialises in supporting international NGOs and academic institutions.

“Improving risk management and fulfilling employer duty of care responsibilities has become  a major priority for our customers, particularly in the UK academic sector where the activities of our Universities become ever-more international” says John O’Sullivan, Group Marketing Director at Key Travel. “We rightly focus on risks surrounding travel but our customers are asking for broader support and we feel ILS has the right expertise, experience and products to meet their needs.”

George Shaw, Managing Director at ILS, is excited about the partnership. “For too long now Travel Management and associated risks have been considered in isolation. We believe that bringing Travel Management and Security Risk Management together is a logical and very important step that will enable NGOs and Universities to better understand, and fulfil, their duty of care obligations. We are delighted to be working with Key Travel to support their clients around the world to better protect their travellers”.
