The history of the KITF - Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel" - begins in 2001. Over the long term of its successful work, the exhibition has become the most anticipated industry event in the field of tourism.
It is proven by the steadily growing indicators of visiting the exhibition from year to year, more than 350 exhibiting companies, 5 thousand professional visitors from 30 world countries. During the event, more than 1,200 transactions of domestic and foreign accommodation facilities are concluded annually.
Annually, the largest platform in Central Asia presents all kinds of destinations and novelties of the tourism industry, and as an independent object of event and MICE tourism, attracts a large number of tourists to Kazakhstan.
Within the KITF, tourism organizations and tour operators from different countries demonstrate the most relevant trends in the tourism industry, form and implement a wide variety of tour products.
The 20th Anniversary International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel" KITF 2020 will be held on April 14-16 in the city of Almaty.
KITF is not just an exhibition. It is strategically important professional event, which reflects both the state of the tourist industry in general and its specific trends and destinations, as well as prospects of development and new opportunities.
Each year, over 5,000 specialists of the travel business from around the world meet each other at the KITF Exhibition, including: air companies, national and regional tourist organizations, representatives of properties - hotels, wellness and medical centers, developers and suppliers of it-technologies in tourism, real estate abroad and so on.
The Tourism and Travel Exhibition is a reliable platform for enhancement of interregional and international industrial relationships. The representatives of state companies and diplomatic missions accompanying their national stands pay special attention to the event.
Traditionally, in 2020 a buyer program is planned, the main purpose of which is the full use of B2B tools for the effective development of the Kazakhstan tourism market.
For this purpose, buyers from Russia, Germany, India, Japan, China, Israel and USA will be invited to the exhibition.
One of the most important goals of the exhibition is to promote tourism. Special emphasis was made on domestic tourism, because Kazakhstan has a huge tourist potential to be developed.

In the anniversary year for the project, we would like to note the scale of the KITF 2020 exhibition. The organizers of the exhibition together with the Akimat of the city represented by the Tourism Department plan to hold the "Tourism Week of Almaty", which will include a number of events and forums aimed at developing the industry in the country. So, the KITF Travel & Tech, KITF Wellness & SPA forums, the Almaty Travel Fest thematic festivals and the gastronomic KITF Taste & Travel will be held at the KITF venue.
Within the framework of the business program of the exhibition, a round table will be held with representatives of "trending directions", as well as the KITF Medical Tourism forum. Visitors and exhibitors will find interactive zones in the ethno-village adjacent to the exposition territory, where crafts, felting, a national arms fair and much more will be demonstrated.
