Colleen Brzozowski, CIS, CITP steps up to serve on SITE executive committee.
CHICAGO – SITE President, Aoife Delaney, CIS, CITP, Director of Global Marketing & Sales, The DMC Network, announced the appointment of Krzysztof “Kris” Michniewicz, CIS, CITP, Founder & CEO MrPoland, to SITE’s International Board of Directors. Aoife also appointed Chicago-based Colleen Brzozowski, CIS, CITP to serve as member-at-large on the IBOD executive committee. These are volunteer appointments and arise from the tragic passing in July 2021 of former board member, Miek Egberts.
Based in Poland, Kris has been an active SITE member since 2004 and was instrumental in establishing SITE Poland to be the strong chapter it is today. A former SITE Poland president, Kris has worked across the full spectrum of the incentive travel industry, leading Poland’s largest incentive house for over 17 years. Colleen, meanwhile, has held director-level sales roles for hotels, resorts, and DMCs while volunteering at PCMA, FICP and SITE, serving eventually as president of SITE Chicago. She commenced her 3 year term on SITE’s IBOD in 2021.
“I welcome Kris and Colleen to their new roles with SITE and look forward to working with them for the remaining term of my presidency as our industry recovers and we implement our “build back better” commitments. Kris was awarded SITE's Kevin Forde Spirit Award in 2016 and brings immense expertise and experience to the SITE Board. Colleen has brought great passion and purpose to the Board as a very generous volunteer since she joined this year and I’m so looking forward to her sage contributions in her new leadership role on the IBOD executive committee”, said Aoife Delaney.
“My professional life has been dedicated entirely to travel and to its transformative outcomes. As an incentive travel professional, I’ve visited over 100 countries and have been so personally and professionally enriched as a result. SITE is the only industry association that fully understands and channels the transformational impact of travel on individuals, corporations, and communities. I’m so proud to join the SITE Board”, said Krzysztof Michniewicz.
Colleen Brzozowski added “I have always valued engagement in industry associations and having served as the 2020 President of SITE Chicago, I wanted to support SITE on a larger scale. I was honored to be elected to the SITE Board in 2021 and have worked on many projects including CITP week and liaison with our Chapter Leaders. I’m sincerely flattered to be asked to step up to the Executive Committee Member-At-Large role in my first year of volunteerism on this Board and look forward to continuing to make an impact.”
These appointments take immediate effect.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
