LateRooms launches new last-minute booking site amid staycation boom: LateCottages

Whereas LateRooms.com helps find customers hotel stays, LateCottages.com connects users with the biggest range of holiday rental accommodation in the UK and Ireland, to find them last-minute deals.

One of the UK’s leading holiday rental marketplaces, LateRooms.com, has just launched LateCottages.com to add to its growing roster of travel sites. LateCottages.com has partnered with leading self-catering accommodation providers to offer over 100,000 last-minute and professionally managed cottages on one site, with exclusive discounts available via a free membership.

Rest Easy Group, the parent company of LateRooms.com, launched LateCottages.com in July 2020 to capitalize on its expertise in last-minute deals and apply it to the expanding holiday rental market in the UK.

Whereas LateRooms.com helps find customers hotel stays, LateCottages.com connects users with the biggest range of holiday rental accommodation in the UK and Ireland, to find them last-minute deals. In July more than 30,000 rooms were booked through the LateRooms site, and with the surge in self-catering stays following the easing of lockdown rules, similar numbers are expected for LateCottages.com.

LateCottages.com not only offers users the best last-minute deals for cottages, but also for apartments, lodges and other holiday rentals throughout the UK. Users of LateCottages.com have the option to sign up to become a member for free. This will enable them to enjoy exclusive discounts on thousands of last-minute holidays, saving an average of £30 per break.

When searching for a last-minute break, users of the site have the option to filter additional features such as pet-friendly, hot tub, pool, garden, or proximity to the beach. They can also add keywords to their search criteria, which can be anything from accessibility to sauna.

The Rest Easy Group originally launched Snaptrip in 2014 as a marketplace for travellers to discover the best last minute cottage holidays deals in the UK and has since become the parent company of the UK’s leading accommodation marketplaces for cottage, lodge, hotel and villa holidays in the UK and Europe. Over the past six years The Rest Easy Group has expanded to include Snaptrip, LateRooms, Last Minute Cottages, Big Cottages, Dog Friendly Cottages, iKnow, Villa Holidays and now LateCottages.

Matt Fox, CEO and co-founder of LateCottages, said “It’s an exciting opportunity right now since growing demand from customers exploring staycations in rural destinations requires more choice and value. Facilities such as private hot-tubs, pools, enclosed spaces and the option of cooking a meal rather than going out have driven much of the change in customer behaviour, and the range of accommodation we offer caters to a huge range of preferences and needs which are not otherwise met through other sites.

“We’ve partnered with the UK’s leading self-catered accommodation providers to create a marketplace that offers the widest possible choice of professionally managed cottages on one site. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this to current and new customers, who are looking for a different type of getaway this year.”
