Laudamotion links Milan Bergamo with Stuttgart

Along with Stuttgart, Laudamotion has also confirmed that it will further commit to Milan Bergamo later this year, as from 31 March it will introduce a third route to the airport.

Following on from the successful daily service launched by Laudamotion between Milan Bergamo Airport and Vienna at the start of the winter season, the carrier has further committed to the Italian gateway by commencing a second route from Stuttgart. Launched, the carrier will initially operate six weekly flights on the route – increasing the frequency to nine weekly flights during the height of the summer season –as the new service introduces 50,000 additional seats to the Milan Bergamo market in S19.

“Around 180,000 passengers travel annually between Milan and Stuttgart, so it is great that Laudamotion has introduced this service from the German city to Milan Bergamo in order to further grow this robust market,” comments Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO. “Milan Bergamo already supports year-round, non-stop flights to Berlin, Cologne Bonn, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Nuremberg in Germany, plus a summer seasonal service to Bremen, so it is great that we can now offer an additional destination to what is our third largest international market.”

Home to some of the world’s leading multi-national corporations, including Mercedes-Benz, this new service is ideal for those travelling for business, as well as the leisure traveller wanting to explore one of Germany’s most dynamic cities. The route also gives German passengers an alternative way of travelling to the Lombardy Region, while offering them more travel flexibility in being able to explore the great lakes of Northern Italy.

Along with Stuttgart, Laudamotion has also confirmed that it will further commit to Milan Bergamo later this year, as from 31 March it will introduce a third route to the airport. It will commence a twice-weekly service from Düsseldorf, with flights planned to operate on Wednesdays and Sundays. Overall 680,000 seats will be on offer between Milan Bergamo and Germany in S19, representing a 6.2% increase versus last summer.
