NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Le Pavillon Hotel – a landmark gem located in the heart of New Orleans, blending the glamour of its storied history and curated decor with the allure of its modern design – announces Sarah Wilson as assistant general manager. With an extensive background in the hospitality industry, Wilson will assist newly appointed General Manager, Parker Sams, in overseeing operations at the historic Le Pavillon Hotel.

“We are delighted to welcome Sarah to the team at Le Pavillon Hotel and excited to see the hotel benefit from her experience and creative thinking,” said Parker Sams, general manager for Le Pavillon Hotel. “Following a successful leadership role with another resort in our company, Lakeway Resort & Spa, we are very excited to see the great things she will add to our historic property.”

Wilson most recently served as General Manager in Training, an in-house training program within Remington, where she worked alongside senior management to ensure success across all divisions at Lakeway Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas. She has held multiple catering positions and operated as the director of catering for Lakeway Resort & Spa and Austin Country Club, where she was named Employee of the Year in 2014. Before joining the hospitality industry, Wilson had an impressive career in dance.

“I am thrilled to be working with the dynamic team at Le Pavillon Hotel and a hotel with so much history,” said Sarah Wilson, assistant general manager of Le Pavillon Hotel. “I’m very excited to be a part of the next phase at Le Pavillon Hotel.”

Rich in tradition, Le Pavillon Hotel serves an infamous peanut butter and jelly sandwich as a late-night snack in the lobby. An evening ritual stemming from a weary businessman’s cravings, the nightly treats are served with hot chocolate and cold milk. Illuminated by a majestic Czechoslovakian chandelier, Le Pavillon Hotel’s signature restaurant, The Crystal Room, embraces New Orleans’ culinary heritage with French cuisine, heavily infused with creole influences. Serving daily nosh and libations from a vintage Brunswick mahogany bar, The Gallery Lounge is surrounded by a marble railing from the Grand Hotel in Paris.

On the corner of Baronne and Poydras Street in the Central Business District of New Orleans, just blocks away from the French Quarter, Le Pavillon Hotel boasts 226 beautifully refreshed guestrooms and suites. Paying homage to the rich history and cultural heritage of the Big Easy, each suite reflects a component of the vibrant city’s story with ample entertainment space, lush fabrics and textures, and select furnishings and antique pieces from Le Pavillon Hotel’s extensive vintage collection. Recognized as a ‘Top Hotel in New Orleans’ by Conde Nast Traveler readers, Le Pavillon Hotel presents a grand lobby, rooftop pool and 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the lavish rooms and exceptional service of Le Pavillon Hotel, is recognized as an AAA Four Diamond rated hotel.
