LEVEL’s first flight from Paris Orly took off to Montreal

This year two new Airbus A330-200 aircraft will be based at Orly, each with 293 economy and 21 premium economy seats.

The inaugural French flight on International Airlines Group’s (IAG) longhaul low cost airline brand arrived into Montreal with more than 300 passengers on board a new Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Flights to Montreal will operate three times a week and LEVEL commences its four per week service to Guadeloupe.

This year two new Airbus A330-200 aircraft will be based at Orly, each with 293 economy and 21 premium economy seats. A third A330-200 aircraft will be added in 2019 providing the opportunity to expand LEVEL’s network further. These aircraft are equipped with the latest high speed Wi-Fi.

At Paris Orly airport, Willie Walsh, IAG’s chief executive said: “We’re delighted to start flying from our second European city. LEVEL is performing really well and ahead of our expectations in all markets.

“We will continue to invest in LEVEL and are committed to accelerating its growth. Last week we launched its new shorthaul operation in Austria which will fly from Vienna to 14 European destinations from July 17.

“LEVEL is breaking the mould by providing consumers with more choice and amazing fares.”

In Barcelona, a third A330-200 will start operations in September and another one will be added next year totalling four aircraft in 2019. LEVEL currently operates from El Prat’s airport to Buenos Aires, San Francisco and Boston with a summer service to Los Angeles.

LEVEL’s Paris flights are operated by IAG’s French airline OpenSkies which has transitioned into LEVEL.

By flying with LEVEL customers are able to earn and redeem Avios – the loyalty currency for IAG’s airlines. This gives them the opportunity to fly to 380 destinations across the Group’s network which sets LEVEL apart from other longhaul low cost carriers.

In addition, customers can use Pair & Pay technology to browse and buy on board from their seats using personal devices. LEVEL was the first airline brand to introduce Pair & Pay allowing passengers to connect mobile devices with their individual seatback screen to buy food, drinks, Wi-Fi packages, amenity kits, headphones and duty free products.
