One activity that thrived as a result of Covid-19 is cycling; the sport has seen a staggering 200% increase since the first lockdown in March 2020, the UK Department of Transport has revealed.
Now, nearly two years down the line, the popularity of the two-wheeled hobby remains high. In fact, 72% of adventure travellers admitted to planning to undertake nature and outdoor activities on their next trip, specifically cycling, according to a report from the Adventure Travel Trade Association.
This research, coupled with international travel now reopening, suggests that 2022 will be a year where people will be looking to combine these new-found passions with holidays abroad.
