THE RED TOUR
The RED tour includes a visit to the most important renowned villages of the island such as Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani and Fira Town.
Oia village with the unique Cycladic Architectural style and witha beauty beyond fantasy with its cave houses in the Cliff side and the bright white and blue of the church, makes it one of the most photographed places in the world. It is famous for its imaginary sunset with the most popular spot to watch sunset is by the Kastro walls.
Imerovigli is a traditional beautiful village and it is the extension of Fira but is situated on a higher cliff. In front of the village is located an enormous rock called Skaros. It was one of the five fortified settlements and the most important one. The rock was inhabited in medieval times, because the fortress constructed there offered protection from pirates. A visit also to the famous Blue Dome for taking plenty of photos is a must.
Firostefani village is one of the island’s spot with the best overall view and it is located between Fira and Imerovigli, It is a fascinating picturesque and peaceful neighborhood which is perched on the cliffs of the Caldera.
Our return to Fira which is the capital of the island and it is settled on the edge of an impressive cliff 260m high and offers a great panorama over the submerged volcano.
THE BLUE TOUR
The BLUE route takes you to the highest point of the island (The Monastery of Prophet Elias) where you will be able to view a live map of the entire island.
Profitis Εlias is the mountain of the island and the highest spot (567 meters) and it is located between Pyrgos and Kamari. The Mountain's name coming from the Monastery with the same name on its peak. The history of the Monastery is long and very important for the life of Santorini during the centuries. The monastery today has an important collection of icons and bibles, and artefacts of the Greek Orthodox religion.
We’ll then explore the Venetian castle of the Village of Pyrgos, which is one of the most picturesque villages of Santorini, away from the cliffs, to see how locals used to live some time ago.
This village astonishes the visitors with its unique atmosphere of a forgotten era cause all the traditional houses are built around the Venetian Castle. Certainly is a place that worth a visit and dedicate enough time to the most fabulous panoramic view of the island.
Our next stop is the Black Beach in Kamari where it is situated on the southeast side of Santorini. The area is famous for its beautiful beach where you can find hotels, restaurants, bars and many shops that can please all tastes and budgets.
Afterwards we visit the Blue Dome in Firostefani and our return to Fira, the capital of the island.
THE PURPLE TOUR
The PURPLE route takes you to the Archaeological site of Akrotiri one of the most important archaeological sites in the Aegean Sea and the most illustrious one in Santorini.
From there, we will take you to the Red Beach which is well known for the unique colour of the sand and the mount behind it. The scenery is set for a majestic swim and ready to enjoy the red lava cliffs which drop right to the shore and into the clear blue sea.
The Black Beach, which is the best sandy beach of the island, full of cafes, restaurants and beach bars is waiting for us after, to relax and enjoy the sun.
We continue on to one of the best island’s wineries, so as to enjoy some local wines and learn about the local wine-making procedure.
Our tour is ending to Fira, capital of the island.
