Luxury villa company launch new initiative to support Greek community

The villas selected as part of the scheme are all luxury villas of the highest quality offering the perfect hideaway that only gets better by the generous donations made as a result of the bookings.

Luxury villa rental company, My Villa Breaks, is offering villas that have partnered with the EMFASIS Foundation, a non-profit organisation operating in Athens focusing on street work and helping the homeless.

A stay in these luxury villas ensures a donation of 1% from every booking made across select Santorini properties to the Greek charity.

The villas selected as part of the scheme are all luxury villas of the highest quality offering the perfect hideaway that only gets better by the generous donations made as a result of the bookings.

The partnership with EMFASIS is designed to give back to a destination which is close to their heart, and to help support a cause that is directly impacting the country of Greece, its citizens, and its neighbours. The not for profit charity has built a solid and formidable reputation in providing fast humanitarian aid to those in need in Greece.

The charity was chosen thanks to its connections with the heritage and culture of the Greek people, as an organisation that works with and for the people.

EMFASIS uses an internationally accredited programme known as Social Street Work, in which the main purpose is to support and protect vulnerable social groups by empowering them. The social street workers operate on a face-to-face neighbourhood level, paying daily visits to people living on the streets, as well as designing full-care programmes to address the needs of each individual.

As part of the scheme, a number of Santorini villas booked through My Villa Breaks will donate 1% of the total cost towards the EMFASIS Foundation. These include the Villas Alessa, Calista, and Galia, all of which are luxury villas that come with stunning views over the Aegean Sea, perfectly complimenting the traditional white aesthetic of the Santorini architecture.

Villa Alessa, set on the grounds of a luxury 5-star resort on the caldera cliffside of Akrotiri offers spectacular views of the volcano in the background. In fact, the villa offers panoramic views across the island on one side and the sea on the other, which can be viewed using the wow-factor terrace. Plus, the Villa Alessa is in the same part of the island where the ancient Minoans first settled over 3000 years ago, with the famous Akrotiri excavations being found just a short 5-minute drive away.

Villa Calista is equally as divine, being one of just 7 luxury villas in the area complete with a private pool and sun terrace, tucked away on the cliffside of Megalochori. The entire area is completely unspoilt and naturally beautiful, with panoramic caldera views. Indeed, the villa is built right on the cliff edge directly in front of the volcano, blending perfectly with the landscape while simultaneously offering incredible views. Designed in the Cycladic style of curved arched and smooth white walls that has become synonymous with Santorini, Calista is a work of modern art set amongst the dusty rocks of the volcano and the vivid blue sky.

Villa Galia is a sublime retreat for a couple looking to inject a bit of romance into their lives. Forming part of a luxury village of villas of architectural elegance right on the Santorini caldera, Galia is technically a cave renovation of bespoke design, featuring its own private swimming pool and terrace. The best part is that the handcrafted pool is actually a private ledge over the sea below, with the volcano directly in front.

All of the villas comes with a concierge service, which offers airport and port transfers, car rentals, a private chef, water sports and activities, spa treatments, massage, and beauty services, helicopter tours, yacht charters, security, and even a babysitter.
