The island is consolidating its position as a leading sports destination at an international level, not only for those who practice sport for pleasure or participate in professional events but also for professionals who prepare their seasons with training sessions on the island.

The Majorca Tourism Foundation is attending World Travel Market London (WTM) live from 1-3 November to promote the island's new developments and sports tourism, in order to rebuild UK visitor numbers to 2019’s level of 2.39 million.

During the trade show, Majorca will highlight its sports tourism products. The warm climate, its natural environment and tourism facilities, make the island the perfect place to practice sport in a high quality, safe and sustainable environment meeting the increased interest for outdoor experiences amongst travellers.

The island is consolidating its position as a leading sports destination at an international level, not only for those who practice sport for pleasure or participate in professional events but also for professionals who prepare their seasons with training sessions on the island. Majorca is host to many international sporting events such as the Road to Majorca (golf), Majorca Golf Open, Majorca Challenge (triathlon), UCI Track Championships (cycling), and ATP Mallorca Tennis Championship, amongst others.

Majorca’s Minister of Sports & Tourism, Andreu Serra, will be at WTM to promote the ministries work in the development of the Balearic Islands Investment Strategy 2030, and the 'Majorca Circular'. The strategy includes projects focused on the evolution of the tourism model, improvement of waste management, sustainability, social cohesion, innovation and economic diversification.
