Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of brands awaken cities around the world

Sheraton Tel Aviv, lobby.

From buzzing domestic metropolises to international urban retreats, global travel beckons with new city stays.

Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s extraordinary portfolio of 30 hotel brands, award-winning loyalty program, and endless experiences, is welcoming spring with its sights set on city stays. These buzzy locales around the world are waiting to be rediscovered as travelers embrace the desire to get back out and experience new things and redefine leisure travel, making their way to bustling cities everywhere. According to Skift’s 2022 Megatrends Report, at least 36 million Americans can potentially become digital nomads due to the increased flexibility of remote work, further blurring the line between leisure and business travel. The report also found, if only six percent of the 36 million choose to travel, they would represent a $1 billion market flooding the leisure space.

“Around the world, cities have always held the ability to transport travelers back in time or propel them into the future; create vibrancy in new experiences and sweeten the air of opportunity; set the stage for warm homecomings and everlasting anticipated reunions, but ultimately, transform visitors with the power of travel,” said Brian Povinelli, Senior Vice President, Brand, Loyalty & Portfolio Marketing, Marriott International. “Throughout the pandemic, we saw an increase in leisure travel, specifically with the desire to visit less populated, second-tier cities. While that trend has not fully gone away, leisure travel is changing as people are being drawn back to the excitement that the sights, sounds, and bustle of city life evokes. Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of brands provides travelers with truly unique, meaningful stays, that allow them to embrace these destinations once more.”
