Marriott Hotels and Fast Company’s Inspiration Collective puts innovation within reach

Open to hotel guests and visitors, the digital interface brings together elements of Fast Company’s Recommender column and Marriott Hotel’s focus on innovation and experiences.

WASHINGTON – Marriott Hotels is constantly introducing innovations to enhance guest experiences around the globe. Kicking off the new year the flagship brand is teaming up with Fast Company, one of the world's leading business media brands, to introduce the "Inspiration Collective", a first-of-its-kind interactive display and experiential showcase for cutting-edge products, experiences and services that inspire the world's most innovative minds. The Inspiration Collective presents guests with the opportunity to explore dozens of top products both through a digital touchscreen and physical experiences.

Open to hotel guests and visitors, the digital interface brings together elements of Fast Company's Recommender column and Marriott Hotel's focus on innovation and experiences. Each month, Fast Company taps into its community of innovators to compile a list of products, places and experiences that inspire the world's most creative executives, designers and entrepreneurs. The Inspiration Collective not only showcases these products, experiences and services digitally, but displays a selection of physical products next to the screen providing personal engagement and space to drive inspiration, creativity and conversations for our guests.

Today officially marks the kick off of the Inspiration Collective's national tour in which the wall will make its way around the country and bring innovative inspiration right to travelers in ten locations over the course of five months. The wall will be at each location for approximately three weeks and is open for guests to come be inspired. The Inspiration Collective can be found in the following innovation hubs:

  • Brooklyn Marriott – December 9th (pilot)
  • Marriott Marquis Washington DC – January 17th
  • Boston Marriott Cambridge – February 6th
  • Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile – February 12th
  • San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront – March 19th
  • Seattle Marriott Bellevue – March 21st
  • Marriott Irvine Spectrum – March 26th
  • Marriott Marquis Houston – March 28th
  • Charlotte Marriott City Center – April 2nd
  • Atlanta Marriott Marquis – April 4th

From healthy vending machine to the room service virtual reality goggles to the first "Live Beta" hotel, Marriott Hotels has been testing and trying the newest technology available with the understanding that the fastest way to innovate is to test and learn alongside our guests. The Inspiration Collective is another example of bringing innovation within reach for Marriott Hotels.
