Resort becomes a member ofeco and sustainable tourism body, Green Pearls.

Maslina Resort, a brand-new Relais & Chateaux property and mindful luxury resort with wellness at its core, announced that it has been selected to become a member of eco and sustainable tourism company, Green Pearls. The chic, five-star resort located on the island of Hvar, Croatia, surpassed the criteria to join Green Pearls, which selects its esteemed members based on their sustainable initiatives, social commitment and preservation and protection to the environment.

Maslina Resort will open on Maslinica Bay, Hvar, Croatia in August 2020 and the new property has successfully integrated sustainable practices into their core principles. Mindful luxury and wellness underpin the central values of Maslina Resort’s ethos and its dedication to being in harmony with nature and the surrounding natural environment. The resort purposefully blends in with the nearby olive groves, and the furnishings in the rooms have been made from local and regional materials.

The holistic approach focuses on a natural, mindful and healthy way of life which is felt everywhere in the hotel, including the kitchen. The excellent produce grown in Maslina Resort’s organic garden and locally, is prominent on all the menus and is prepared by former two-Michelin star chef, Patricia Yeo. Her passion for fresh, local and authentic products ensures each dish is full of flavour, healthy and fresh tasting.

The modern wellness area sets its focus on natural oils, fragrances and herbs. The distinctive garden to skin concept is key to Maslina Resort and in line with the property’s culture. The herbs and oils in the spa therapy products are specially developed and cultivated directly from hotel's organic beach garden.

Maslina Resort aims to promote a positive change in the world, by collaborating and offering a wide array of wellness, adventure and culinary experiences that are ecologically friendly, whilst providing an inspiring atmosphere, promoting mindfulness and sustainable philosophy.

“With travellers expressing an increased interest to stay in sustainable accommodations, the results of the assessment undertaken by Green Pearls confirm Maslina Resort’s excellent commitment to environmental protection and social and development and its role in providing its guests with a luxurious, yet ecological wellness experience on the island of Hvar” comments Zoran Pejovic, Development Director at Maslina Resort.

Green Pearls GmbH is the first holding company worldwide that consolidates sustainable hotels, destinations and restaurants in a global data source.

Surrounded by olive groves and terraced vineyards, Maslina Resort has 50 rooms and three villas and stretches across two hectares of lush pine forest overlooking the crystalline Adriatic Sea with wellbeing, family, culture and authenticity at its heart.
