Monarch Holidays partners with Tourico Holidays to make affordable hotel options available to travelers

Low cost British airline and holiday company to package flights and hotels.

LONDON and ORLANDO – Tourico Holidays announced a new distribution partnership with Monarch, a leading low cost airline and holiday company based in the United Kingdom. The partnership will enable Monarch Holidays to significantly expand its range of European beach holidays and city breaks using Tourico’s worldwide inventory of hotels and Exclusive Deals, or pre-purchased hotel room blocks.

“By partnering with Tourico, we’re able to offer our customers a broad range of holiday options to any of the destinations that Monarch serves,” said Richard Francis, Managing Director of Monarch Holidays. “Tourico’s unique contracting methodology of pre-purchasing large hotel room blocks allows them to secure industry-leading prices that we can now pass on to our customers.”

Monarch offers six million sector seats to over 40 destinations from five UK bases, including London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds-Bradford and Luton, where the company is headquartered. The company’s tour operating division – Monarch Holidays – offers a variety of package holidays: from beach holidays to city breaks, and villas to Lapland adventures.

Tourico contracts more than 80,000 hotels in 6,598 cities and specializes in brokering rooms to distribution clients, such as airline suppliers and tour operators. In 2016, Tourico sold more than one million hotel room nights through airline partners, offering industry-best selection and rates.

“Tourico has made it a priority over the past several years to increase the number of pre-purchased room blocks in popular European cities such as Barcelona, Lisbon, Rome, Venice, and Stockholm,” said Neil Emerson, the President of Business Development in Europe for Tourico Holidays. “Monarch’s travelers will now have access to this unique hotel inventory, allowing them to save significantly on their hotel reservations – in addition to their flights.”
