Nearly 45% of managers encourage taking vacation time

Less than 40% of employers have increased their PTO policy in the past year.

Skynova surveyed 800 employees and 200 managers about their PTO policies, their plans for using them, how they feel their policies should change, and the impact on overall wellness.

Some Study Highlights: 

  • On average, full-time employees received 18 days of PTO per year – 31.9% of employees often avoid taking time off due to workload
  • Less than 40% of employers have increased their PTO policy in the past year
  • Normalizing vacation time (44.9%), planning vacation time ahead of time (43.4%), limiting vacation rollover (40.9%), and discouraging vacation shaming (33.9%) are ways managers plan on ensuring employees use PTO.
