Nemacolin Woodlands Resort appoints David Ryan as General Manager

Before joining the Nemacolin team, David Ryan served in such positions as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay.

NEW YORK – Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, in southwestern Pennsylvania, has appointed David Ryan to be the resort's new general manager. In his new role, Ryan will lead Nemacolin's day-to-day operations and management across all departments, focusing on maximizing guest experience and the resort's overall mission and growth.

"We are thrilled to welcome David to Nemacolin and look forward to him leading the team," says Maggie Hardy Knox, President of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. "We are confident that, with his impressive background in hospitality, team-building and sales – not to mention his experience working in six countries – he will make a tremendous contribution to the resort's ongoing success."

Before joining the Nemacolin team, Ryan served in such positions as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, where he grew revenue by 17%; and General Manager for 432 Park Avenue, overseeing the opening of this high-profile, luxury residential building. He was most recently the General Manager at HI-5 Hospitality, a consulting and task force firm, assisting hotels in increasing revenue, strengthening employee engagement and improving customer satisfaction.

A Chicago native, Ryan is a graduate of Michigan State's School of Hospitality Business. When not rooting for his home teams (the Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs), he enjoys cooking, trying new wines and spending time with his wife and two rescue dogs. He is very pleased to be joining the Nemacolin team, stating "my goals while serving as GM are to earn the respect of the Associates every day and wow our guests."
