NEW YORK – Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, in southwestern Pennsylvania, announced the appointment of Patrick Faas as the resort's new Food and Beverage Director. Hailing from the Netherlands, Patrick has made his way to the Laurel Highlands to spearhead Nemacolin's Food and Beverage Program. With a focus on serving the freshest locally grown and sustainable products, the new director's goal is to showcase the local surroundings and provide guests with an authentic sense of place through cuisine and interactive, immersive dining experiences.
With 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Patrick has played a strategic role in assuring the success of many prestigious restaurants and hotels. Beginning his career in Las Vegas, he built six restaurants from the ground up over the course of 12 years, then moved around the country opening numerous restaurants and four hotels, including new properties for Disney Resorts and Hilton Hotels. Patrick has served on industry boards and held executive positions in various destinations around the world, from Hawaii to the Bahamas.
In his relentless pursuit of excellence, Patrick spares no effort to provide a positive impact on people's lives, whether by creating memorable experiences for guests or mentoring his associates. In his spare time, Patrick cherishes his time with his two-year-old grandson and travels to experience new cultures, history and flavors.
