New Casa Cook officially opens its doors on the iconic island of Mykonos

Award-winning collection of lifestyle hotels, Casa Cook, unveils its latest location on the iconic island of Mykonos with Adreas Ntougias as head chef.

The very-first guests were welcomed on June 24th 2022 to the newest hotel to join the Casa Cook collection of boutique hotels – Casa Cook Mykonos. Perched just off the sparkling shores of the infamous Ornos Bay, with panoramic views of the boundless Aegean Sea, this 26-room adults-only retreat is Casa Cook’s most intimate hotel to date.

Only a stone’s throw from Mykonos town, the airport and the most popular beaches – the hotel’s design was drawn directly from the traditional Mykonian cuboid houses strewn over the island, with the architecture mimicking traditional villages where buildings have grown organically together and evolved to surround the town hall.

Comprising 26 luxury suites and villas, the boutique hotel is the most exclusive in the Casa Cook collection. While each room is unique, they all encompass the same organic flow of clean lines, white surrounds and organic materials. Colours and materials reflect the calming colour palette of the island: bleached whites, azure blues, earthy browns and lush greens. Interior details capture the island’s free spirit, with hand-woven fabrics, ethereal linen layers and other elements authentic to the Cyclade islands with a modern touch.

Nikos Koulousias, who is a celebrity chef, was the mastermind and executive chef of the wedding of Harry and Megan and Andreas Ntougias was his friendly partner from a distance to that. Adreas carries an array of international acclamations despite his young age – including experience at Michelin-starred restaurants such as Pastorale Restaurant in Antwerp and awards including The Best Chef in 2019. Adreas will be responsible for the creation of all the hotel’s menus, where guests can expect traditional Greek classics reinvented with his trademark contemporary flair.

Inspired by paréa – a Greek word roughly translated as a wholesome get-together with friends – the hotel´s pool and dining space are where groups gather for a communal meal or an afternoon round of poolside cocktails. Oversized pergolas built by local craftsmen offer ample shade to recline and soak in the day outside with friends and like-minded travellers alike, and a sculpture by the renowned French artist Bruno Catalano adds an ethereal touch to the space.

From early in the morning until late at night, mixologists stand ready to serve up premium spirits, fresh juices, mocktails and signature cocktails. A private cellar offers guests their pick of top wines from around the world as well as a rich collection of cigars.

Boasting an impressively large swimming pool, an extensive gym and yoga shala, with private and group classes, guests can also experience full indulgence at a wellness centre complete with two double suites providing a full suite of treatments from facials by the all-natural Cinq Mondes to massage, peels and scrubs inspired by Ancient Greek rituals.
