The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), which is led by CEO Petra Roach, a respected and experienced tourism and marketing professional, is the national tourism organization of Grenada, responsible for the development of the tourism sector of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.

Grenadian entrepreneur Randall Dolland is the new chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA).

Dolland’s appointment by Grenada’s new Minister of Tourism Lennox Andrews follows recent general elections across the Spice Isle, which saw young Grenadian lawyer Dickon Mitchell emerging victoriously at the polls over veteran Caribbean leader Dr. Keith Mitchell. Dolland takes over the reins from businessman Barry Collymore.

The GTA, which is led by CEO Petra Roach, a respected and experienced tourism and marketing professional, is the national tourism organization of Grenada, responsible for the development of the tourism sector of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.

I’m truly honored to serve as board chairman as for many years I’ve been a stakeholder in this industry and can intimately relate to the challenges currently impacting the industry,” said Dolland, a previous sales and marketing manager for the former Flamboyant Hotel who has experience both in the real estate and hospitality sectors.

In this role, I look forward to partnering with all stakeholders and strategic partners to move our tourism agenda forward,” he continued.

Dr. George Vincent will serve as Deputy Chairman, while additional members of the board include Orlando Romain, Dr. Charles Modica, Allison Caton, Jacqueline Alexis, Janelle Hopkin and Marlon Glean.

Tourism Minister Andrews, an economist, has assumed a plethora of additional responsibilities including ICT, Economic Development, Planning, Creative Economy, Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries & Cooperatives.

Assuming responsibility for Civil Aviation and Transportation is Minister Dennis Cornwall, who also holds the portfolios of Infrastructure, Physical Development, and Public Utilities.

The 11-member GTA board represents several sectors of the industry, all of which have critical input into delivering a progressive, forward-thinking tourism product in the destination.

In recent weeks, the Spice Isle’s tourism team has been busy strengthening its linkages with airline partners, as well as promoting attractive offerings such as sports and culinary tourism.

This past spring, Kendra Hopkin Stewart of Blue Horizons Garden Resort was elected head of the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA). She is currently serving a two-year term.
