Flight Centre Travel Group has appointed Pete Stephens as Corporate Chief Technology Officer for the Europe and Africa regions. Pete works across all brands that service Flight Centre Travel Group’s corporate customers, including FCM Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, Flight Centre Business Travel, Stage & Screen and cievents.
Pete brings with him a unique spirit for technical innovation and entrepreneurship, which he will use to develop Flight Centre Travel Group’s corporate technology products. Alongside his global counterparts, Pete joins the brand’s Corporate Technology Super Group, working with the technology and product teams to ensure end-to-end alignment, design, build and delivery of systems is of the highest standards.
Regarding his new role, Pete commented; “I’m delighted to be working for one of the leading corporate travel group companies. The opportunities presented in my new role are wide-ranging and I’m looking forward to adding the rigour I’ve developed across my career, to the successful development of the Group’s products.”
Pete’s digital consultancy experience spans 28 years. During this time he co-founded a number of digital start-ups and a technology spin-out from British Telecom’s research and development labs, which was acquired by a large Silicon Valley tech corporation.
He also spent many years working for British Aerospace and the technology consultancy Logica (now CGI). While at Logica, Pete designed and built new technology systems for a variety of blue chip and government organisations. He is also actively involved as a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
