Nina & Pinta adds hospitality industry leaders Michele Delgado and Shalini Iyer to the North American team

Nina & Pinta also restructured its North American team, naming Mark Williams a U.S. Partner and Joe Currie Managing Director, Americas.

WINSTON-SALEM – Managed travel consultancy and accredited training provider Nina & Pinta announced the addition of hospitality industry leaders Michele Delgado and Shalini Iyer to its North American team.

The news comes on the heels of continued growth for the consultancy, which added corporate travel specialists Dawn McGowan, Gyasi Edwards, Penny Worthy and Michael Morrison to its team in the fourth quarter of 2020. 

Nina & Pinta also restructured its North American team, naming Mark Williams a U.S. Partner and Joe Currie Managing Director, Americas.

“I am thrilled Michele and Shalini are bringing their deep knowledge and diverse industry expertise to the Nina and Pinta team,” said Williams. “Michele’s experience in operations and client services, combined with Shalini’s background in business development and training will be valuable assets for our current and future clients.”

Delgado joins Nina & Pinta as a Consultant and Director of Training. She is a Certified Professional and a Master Business Coach with more than 25 years of diverse experience leading operations and client services teams within the hospitality industry. 

Delgado previously served as VP of Branch Operations, East and Central Region, at Protravel. Her global scope of work includes consultation to a diverse account portfolio including organizations from the pharmaceutical, education, technology, medical meetings, medical device and financial sectors. She has a strong knowledge of air, hotel, car, ground transportation and ISOS programs as well as in-depth insight into travel related technology tools such as SAP Concur.

Iyer joins Nina & Pinta as Director of Business Development and Training Consultant. Her background includes more than 16 years of experience in sales, marketing, revenue management and operations for hotel brands including Marriott International, Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Hyatt Hotels Corp. In her previous roles, she focused on revenue generation, total account management, new business development, account saturation, market penetration, relationship building and team management.

Iyer brings a wide range of global experience within the hotel industry to clients, with positions in India, the United Kingdom, Singapore and the United States. She was the recipient of the “Sales Leader of the Year Award” for the Aloft Hotels brand globally in 2019 and volunteers with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) North Carolina chapter where she serves as an Allied member of the Board of Directors.
