Palladium Hotel Group starts to open Caribbean hotels

The four all-inclusive properties sit next to each other on one of the most famous stretches of the Mexican Caribbean coastline, known for its sparkling ocean, picturesque white sand and lush jungle vegetation.

Spanish hotel company, Palladium Hotel Group is preparing for the winter sun season with the announcement of the re-opening of properties in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

From 2 October, the group’s four hotels in Mexico’s beautiful Riviera Maya will be open for guests: the five-star, family-friendly Grand Palladium White Sand Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Colonial Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa, as well as the five-star, adults-only TRS Yucatan Hotel.

The four all-inclusive properties sit next to each other on one of the most famous stretches of the Mexican Caribbean coastline, known for its sparkling ocean, picturesque white sand and lush jungle vegetation. The expansive properties offer plenty of space for guests to relax and switch off, whilst also being able to respect social distances with vast outdoor areas, secluded private corners and spacious common areas.

With plenty of options for adventure, historical Mayan sites and world-class diving nearby, the region is a popular winter sun destination, and the four hotels provide the perfect base to relax, indulge and be looked after by Palladium Hotel Group’s unrivalled team. Through the group’s Infinite Indulgence offering, Grand Palladium guests have access to the world-class services, thrilling entertainment programme and diverse dining experiences across all three properties, while TRS guests will enjoy a more personalised all-inclusive resort experience.

Palladium Hotel Group will welcome guests to its hotels in the Dominican Republic from 19 November with the opening of its five-star hotels in Punta Cana: Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino and the adults-only TRS Turquesa Hotel. Located together in a privileged location on the shores of Bávaro Beach on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, guests can enjoy the Caribbean island’s year-round tropical climate while enjoying the resorts various swimming pools, wide sandy beach, activities and entertainment all available through Infinite Indulgence.

This will be followed by the opening of TRS Cap Cana Hotel on 18 December in time for the festive season. This five-star, adults-only resort sits on an exclusive seafront area of Cap Cana and offers state-of-the-art facilities and luxury services including two serene pools with waiter service, an extensive gym and Zentropia Palladium Spa and Wellness, as well as a personal butler and 24-hour room service.

Redefining the travel experience with maximum health and safety guarantees
Palladium Hotel Group looks to open these nine hotels with a firm commitment to the utmost safety and wellbeing of its guests. Free medical assistance insurance is offered to all guests staying at these properties, which protects guests against any unforeseen circumstances related to Covid-19. This includes covering expenses such as medical and hospital costs, transfers or stay extension.

In addition, Palladium Hotel Group has created a new health and safety protocol, which is being implemented in partnership with SGS – the global leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification, to guarantee that its hotels continue to be safe environments. Measures include digital check in and check out, extra hand sanitisation points, enhanced staff training, adaptation of spaces to ensure safe social distancing, and the promotion of technology providing information via apps, the room television and the hotel website.

The group is also giving its staff and customers an extra level of confidence in terms of hygiene and safety with a number of officially recognised seals from reputable organisations and bodies to further demonstrate its commitment and compliance to leading global standards. These include the ‘Clean & Safe’ and ‘Process’ seals by SGS, the ‘Stay Safe Plus Insurance’ seal showcasing the additional Covid-19 cover for hotel guests, and the ‘Safe Travels’ seal awarded by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) for its stringent health and hygiene processes.

With this, as well as flexible booking terms and easy and transparent cancellation policies, Palladium Hotel Group aims to open its properties in Mexico and the Dominican Republic with the maximum guarantees, so that employees and guests are protected at all times and travellers can enjoy a well-deserved winter sun holiday.

Working with the UK travel trade
Palladium Hotel Group would also like to take this opportunity to thank the UK travel trade for their ongoing commitment to the brand.

Nacho Gozalbo, Commercial Director, says: “We appreciate the challenges that we have all been facing recently and particularly those faced by the retail travel trade. We know that the evolution of the pandemic has put a huge amount of pressure on the travel industry both in Spain and in the United Kingdom but we feel confident that we can all recoup some of the losses this year over the winter period with bookings to the Caribbean. Of course, we continue to monitor the travel regulations in our key source markets, such as in the UK and we hope progress is made soon with regards to travel restrictions and quarantines. We would like to thank our UK agents for continuing to support us during these challenging times and we look forward to organising more agent events in the UK and hosting more UK agents on Palladium FAM trips, as soon as we are able.”
