Park City boasts priciest ski resort in the United States

In Deer Valley, guests spend on average $543 per night for the least expensive double room, by far the highest rate among all destinations considered.

Deer Valley, located in Park City, Utah, is the most expensive ski resort in the United States based on cost of lodging, according to the latest survey conducted by Cheaphotels.org

The survey compared 20 popular ski destinations. For each destination, the average price for the cheapest available double room was established for the months of February and March 2019. Only hotels ranked at least 3 stars and located inside a ski resort were considered.

In Deer Valley, guests spend on average $543 per night for the least expensive double room, by far the highest rate among all destinations considered. Colorado's Beaver Creek ranks second most expensive at $416 per night, while Alta resort in Utah completes the podium, at an only slightly more affordable rate.

Park City Mountain Resort, located just a few miles from Deer Valley, ranks 10th priciest at an average room rate of $243 per night. In California, Squaw Valley is the priciest ski resort, ranking fifth most expensive overall at an average rate of $302 per night.

The following table shows the 10 most expensive ski resorts in the United States. The rates shown reflect the average price for the cheapest available double room, Feb. 1–March 31, 2019.
