ParkVia announces 2020 voice booking plans

ParkVia’s Head of Marketing, Ben Fox.

Adopting the competitive advantage within airport parking, ParkVia has committed to employing voice booking technology for its users in 2020, enabling it to move further towards presenting the most preferable parking option, first time for each and every customer.

On the back of its strongest peak period ever, European airport parking retailer, ParkVia, has announced ambitious plans to evolve its successful e-commerce platform for 2020.

As consumers become more sophisticated with the online shopping experience and demand more from the buying process, creating an additional booking stream was the next logical step in ParkVia’s growth strategy.

Adopting the competitive advantage within airport parking, ParkVia has committed to employing voice booking technology for its users in 2020, enabling it to move further towards presenting the most preferable parking option, first time for each and every customer.

A recent study* found 4 in 10 smart speaker users will regularly make purchases via voice by 2021, as search moves firmly from a place of answers to a state of action.

ParkVia’s Head of Marketing, Ben Fox, said: “Over the past 12 months we have implemented learnings from what consumers across our varying markets expect from us next and have been busy behind the scenes working to bring that to the fore throughout the booking journey. The next logical step for us as a brand is booking beyond the web.

“Until now, voice in the retail domain has been inhibited by an ability to explore; however, advancements in technology and demand from consumers are spurring development in voice adoption and we’re extremely excited about pioneering within the airport parking arena.”

Working collaboratively with its in-house development and analytical teams, ParkVia’s extensive customer dataset has supported the next phase of its digital transformation by integrating NLP (natural language processing) with VUI (voice user interface) to create a new, workable booking solution.

Still in the development stage, customers eager to trial this innovative technology will be able to book their parking across multiple locations worldwide via their Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant later in 2020.
