PayNode to roll out business aviation payment solution internationally

Developed by the Avinode Group and its majority owner MSTS, PayNode is a solution to the payment inefficiencies and uncertainties facing charter brokers and operators.

EBACE, GENEVA – PayNode, the world’s first payment platform created specifically for business aviation, will this month become available in Mexico ahead of its European launch in June.

The international rollout follows PayNode’s November 2016 launch in the United States, where early adopters have enjoyed significant benefits from its rapid and secure payment processing.

Developed by the Avinode Group and its majority owner MSTS, PayNode is a solution to the payment inefficiencies and uncertainties facing charter brokers and operators. It replaces a highly manual, time-consuming payment process with a simple and secure online system designed to move large sums of money cross-border, regardless of time or geographic location.

PayNode has focused initially on improving credit card payments for air charter, offering an exclusive low merchant processing rate in partnership with American Express. Today, PayNode announced an additional corporate charge card payment option, joining with AVCARD to create a new way for brokers and operators to pay and receive payments for charter and sub-charter flights. In the coming months, PayNode will further expand its services with the launch of a wire bank transfer solution, with beta testing due to begin later in 2017.

Through PayNode, credit card payments are disbursed to an operator or broker’s bank account the day after a completed flight, rather than up to 30 days under prevailing industry methods. PayNode also offers best practice data security to protect customers’ personal identification and payment details against theft.

Magnus Henriksson, Global Business Director, PayNode, says: “We’re excited to be launching PayNode in Mexico and Europe after a very positive response in the United States. Customers have welcomed the way PayNode overcomes pain points in their businesses: the need to move large sums of money internationally at short notice and to be confident that payment will be received promptly.

“Through our low American Express processing rate, PayNode can save users significant sums of money – in some cases tens of thousands of dollars annually. Introducing AVCARD as another payment method will be attractive to many companies and the forthcoming launch of our wire bank transfer solution confirms PayNode as a game-changer for how business aviation payments are made globally.”

PayNode is now fully integrated across all Avinode Group systems, including the Avinode TripManager broker sales management system and SchedAero flight operations system. This integration simplifies the raising of payment requests, creates time-savings and allows brokers and operators to focus on customer service and business growth.
