WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA – Pleasant Holidays announced the appointment of Davion Jones as Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Northeastern Region of the United States, focusing on the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. The newest BDM to join the tour operator’s nationwide sales team, Jones is based in Manchester, Conn., and will represent Pleasant Holidays and its luxury travel brand, Journese. Jones will work with travel professionals in his region to develop strategies to grow their commission income for FIT, Wedding Travel and Groups package vacation bookings.
Most recently Jones was Business Development Manager for a major Caribbean hotel chain, employing a mix of marketing, training and education strategies to grow agency sales in the northeastern United States. Originally from Jamaica, Jones graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Studies. He has extensive international experience, including traveling, working and living abroad. Jones is part of a five-person team bringing Pleasant Holidays’ expansive product line and exceptional customer service to this area of the country.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
