Pleasant Holidays opens sales of 2017 Iceland and Greenland Cruise voyages

Itineraries include a nine-night Iceland Circumnavigation voyage, an 11-night Iceland and Natural Wonders of Greenland sailing, and the six-night Northern Lights and Whales itinerary, which features a cruise and coach journey combo.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA – Pleasant Holidays launched sales of Iceland cruises for 2017 that explore Iceland, the Land of Fire and Ice, currently one of the hottest destinations in Europe for U.S. travelers. Iceland ProCruises voyages feature four soft-adventure itineraries that range from six to 11 nights with departures primarily from the capital city of Reykjavik from May 16 through September 27, 2017.

“Pleasant Holidays is dedicated to offering the most popular vacation destinations worldwide, which is one reason why we are excited to add Iceland cruises to our Europe portfolio,” said Jack E. Richards, President and CEO. “Our research shows that Iceland is one of the fastest growing emerging destinations in Europe and these seasonal cruises offer U.S. travelers a unique travel experience both on and off the cruise ship. We see this fascinating destination offering huge growth potential for sales for our travel agent partners for FIT and Groups.”

Itineraries include a nine-night Iceland Circumnavigation voyage, an 11-night Iceland and Natural Wonders of Greenland sailing, and the six-night Northern Lights and Whales itinerary, which features a cruise and coach journey combo. All voyages are aboard the M/S Ocean Diamond, a sleek, moderate-sized ship that deftly navigates intimate ports and fjords that are inaccessible by larger vessels. The ship features 107 well-appointed accommodations, all with outside views; an extensive onboard polar library; a fitness center; lounge and spa. Cruises include onboard accommodations, chef-prepared meals, presentations by local experts, nightly port talks and destination briefings, and guided Zodiac excursions. Additional optional excursions are available for purchase.

Travel agent partners can book complete cruise vacations including nonstop flights on Icelandair from 13 U.S. cities including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. (Dulles); pre- and post-cruise hotel stays; onboard accommodations; travel protection coverage; port transfers and more in one convenient location that offers competitive commissions for travel agents. Delta Air Lines operates nonstop flights to Iceland from New York and WOW Air features service from seven U.S. cities.
