Hotel & Car Rewards will allow Privilege Club members to earn and spend Qmiles at over 350,000 hotels and more than 20,000 car rental locations worldwide.

DOHA, QATAR – Qatar Airways Privilege Club announce more new options for its members to earn and spend Qmiles. Privilege Club members can now stay or drive away with Qmiles, with the launch of Hotel & Car Rewards. Privilege Club members will be able to use their Qmiles to book a stay at one of more than 350,000 hotels or rent a car at over 20,000 locations worldwide. Members also earn Qmiles on every cash travel booking they make.

Hotel & Car Rewards enables Privilege Club members to book 5-star hotels such as Sharq Village & Spa in Doha, InterContinental London Park in London or Le Royal Monceau in Paris, using all or part Qmiles as well as booking car rentals across the globe with brands such as Avis, Budget and Sixt.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “At Qatar Airways, we are continually striving to enhance Privilege Club and offer our members more value and opportunities to earn and spend Qmiles. We also want to make the experience of earning and spending Qmiles as seamless as when our loyalty members travel with us across the globe. Hotel & Car Rewards provides our members’ convenient ways to spend for hotel stays and car rentals using Qmiles or to use a combination of Qmiles with Cash. Hotel & Car Rewards is another example of Privilege Club's commitment to redefining and enhancing the experience for our loyalty members.”

Rob MacLean, CEO of Points, a leading loyalty technology company who is helping to power Hotel & Car Rewards for Qatar Airways, also welcomed the news, “We are pleased to be expanding our partnership with Qatar Airways Privilege Club since implementing our first product integration just under a year ago and to be providing them with more ways than ever to connect with their members. Our research has shown us that enthusiasm for travel planning has not diminished over the past year. The recently improved Buy, Gift and Transfer offering and now Hotel & Car Rewards, will offer members additional value and convenience as they make their future travel plans for this year and beyond with Qatar Airways.”

Last year, Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club was one of the first airline loyalty programmes to announce a tier extension offer of up to 12 months to its members and, earlier this year, Privilege Club honoured a further protection of tier status until 31 December 2021. Over the past year, Privilege Club continued to invest in redefining the programme, including cutting the number of Qmiles required to book award flights by up to 49 per cent as well as removing booking fee for award flights. It also revised its Qmiles policy so that when a member earns or spends them, their balance is valid for further 36 months.

At Hamad International Airport, Privilege Club members can enjoy the most luxurious lounges in the world. Platinum members can experience the incredible Al Safwa First Class Lounge with two guests when travelling in Business Class, they are also entitled to enter the lounge when travelling in Economy Class. Gold members can unwind at the Al Mourjan Business Lounge with one guest, and Silver members can access it as individuals. All Privilege Club members travelling on award flights in Business Class can enjoy the exceptional facilities at the Al Mourjan Business Lounge.

Qatar Airways is the first global airline and one of only six in the world to achieve the prestigious 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating by international air transport rating organisation, Skytrax. This follows HIA’s recent success as the first and only airport in the Middle East and Asia to be awarded a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating. These recognitions provide assurance to passengers across the world that airline health and safety standards are subject to the highest possible standards of professional, independent scrutiny and assessment.

The national carrier of the State of Qatar continues to rebuild its network, which currently stands at over 130 destinations with plans to increase to more than 1,200 weekly flight to over 140 destinations by end of July 2021.

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Airline’ by the 2019 World Airline Awards, managed by the international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It was also named ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’, ‘World’s Best Business Class’, and ‘Best Business Class Seat’, in recognition of its ground-breaking Business Class experience, Qsuite. Qsuite is available on flights to more than 40 destinations including Maldives, New York and Singapore.

Qatar Airways is the only airline to have been awarded the coveted ‘Skytrax Airline of the Year’ title, which is recognised as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry, five times. In addition to this, Qatar Airways home and hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA) was ranked the ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ and ‘Third Best Airport in the World’ by the SKYTRAX World Airport Awards 2020.
