QT Queenstown and Halo Top Creamery launch the Halo Top Ski Lodge

Halo Top transforms QT’s Remarkable King Room into an ice cream paradise.

NEW YORK – QT Queenstown, the lakeside resort set on the shores of New Zealand's Lake Wakatipu, has launched an all-you-can-eat ice cream room in partnership with Halo Top Creamery, the popular American ice cream brand, making it their first ice cream-themed hotel room. Dubbed the "Halo Top Ski Lodge," the suite comes stocked with a Halo Top freezer filled to the brim with Halo Top's signature flavors, Halo Top- and QT-branded ski apparel and a complimentary Halo Top tote bag, which guests can load with as many tubs of ice cream as they want on their way out.

Known for its unconventional quirk, the Sydney-based QT Hotels and Resorts boutique hotel collection staged the takeover in one of QT Queentown's Remarkable King Rooms. "The reinvigoration of one of our Remarkable King Rooms, which offer unparalleled views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped Remarkables mountain range, maintains QT's design and creative flair while embracing Halo Top's iconic and fun style," adds Jeremy Black, General Manager of QT Queenstown.

"Our Kiwi fans welcomed Halo Top to New Zealand with open arms so we wanted to do something special for them," said Doug Bouton, Halo Top Creamery President and COO. If that isn't enough for a guest's sweet tooth, the Halo Top Ski Lodge has an exclusive Halo Top cocktail kit, equipped to make the perfectly crafted Caramel Drama Queen using Halo Top's signature Dairy-Free Sea Salt Caramel flavor. The room also comes with an "Over the Top" room service menu featuring a variety of goodies, including milkshakes, sundaes and desserts, such as Ice Cream Nachos. Additional costs apply for the cocktail kit and room service.

The Halo Top Ski Lodge suite is available for booking from July 22 through August 4, 2019, and also includes complimentary breakfast for two at Bazaar, the hotel's main dining outlet.
